Welcome to the Edward Dumlao Portfolio

The following links will take you to websites that I have created to date. These sites are either, completed, a work-in-progress (active and inactive), or proposed (inactive). The key factor on some of these sites are the webforms (GUI), client-side scripting (Javascript), and CSS. Some sites' functions are heavily dependent on back-end programming using server-side scripting (PHP, ASP) and databases (MySql and MSSQL). Please feel free to visit these sites and see first hand how these sites work. Some sites may have limited accessibility, however live demonstrations can be made available.

Flash animation is limited to the Introductory Page, video/audio components and some animated content. The basic look and feel has been adapted from the original Flash site. The animated buttons now function using CSS and Javascript. The site still employs the MSSQL2000 database accessible through ASP. All of the interactive aspects have been converted to classic ASP, such as the Payment page and the Authorize.net payment gateway integration, page navigation, and session maintenance. Safari (Mac) users are automatically redirected to the original Flash site because of specific browser features not supported by Safari. Designed for IE5+ and Firefox. This site has been online since December 2006. Periodic updates are continuous.

(All Flash Version)
Custody Calculations, Calendars, & OrdersA specialized site designed to promote the main application site (in development by 3rd party) that handles child custody issues between two parties based on court order information. This site uses e-commerce.This project was originally created by several third parties. This Flash enabled site imports data via Web Services. The backend uses MSSQL2000 and ASP to extract from the database and import it back into Flash. Data is also sent back to the server using Flash via the load variables function. My role is to make any modifications as required by the client such as DB management, Flash interface modifications (graphics and actionscript), and document maintenance. It has been determined that the original Flash file is too large and causes delays in page loading, navigational problems, sound quality, and the time it takes for web services to extract data from the MS2000 database and integrate it into the Flash application. Also web content within Flash is not searchable/indexable by search engines. Currently working on a project that will modularize some of the features of the original Flash application and converting content, animation, and forms using HTML, DHTML, CSS, and Javascript. The final product addresses all the problems mentioned above.Flash version is active with periodic updates to the content. Converted site to be completed by mid-November, 2006

Thank You for visiting my site.
Future content will include: more ASP, Flash animation, Flash Actionscript, Java, XML, and AJAX. Content outside of web development may include C++ sample code, Visual Basic.net sample code, MSAccess programming, and more!.
